Ladies, Find Romance in a Bookstore

By Jennifer Williams

There are many women out there that find it difficult to date, because they just aren’t into that bar or club scene. Regardless of what magazines might tell you, you don’t have to go to a party, bar, or club to find romance. In fact, finding romance might be just as simple as going to your local bookstore.

Find Romance Based on Location

The men who frequent bookstores are generally the intellectual, artistic types. This is wonderful for girls who also like that sort of thing, but it’s a challenge for girls who don’t care about brains when it comes to finding romance. No matter what type of guy you like to date, chances are you can figure out a little bit about him according to what section of the bookstore he is in.

A guy who can be found in the science fiction/fantasy section is clearly a dreamer. These kinds of guys will treat their girlfriends quite well. However, if you do not share the same interests, be prepared to spend a night alone when the latest Science Fiction movie debuts.

Guys who can be found in the philosophy section tend to be very analytical. For example, if you both were to look at something, you might just see that thing for what it is, but he questions how that things came to be what it is. These types of guys get bored easily, so keep him interested by coming up with a variety of discussion topics.

Guys who can be found in the Mystery section are a nice blend of curiosity and intellect. They can be kind of serious at times, in that they like to figure things out, but they also have an open mind too. These kinds of guys are great for girls who are laid back, yet know how to have fun at the same time.

For girls that aren’t into guys who are smart, but rather are just a lot of fun to be around, then the best place to find romance is the magazine section – especially the sports magazines. These guys like something enough to read about it, but not necessarily in novel form, and they often have a great sense of humor.

So, the next time you are at a bookstore and see a guy that you think might be attractive, walk up to him and start a conversation. You will find out right away by his response if he is already taken. While guys who read the same kinds of novels that you do are easier to start a conversation with, why not also try talking to a guy who’s into a totally different genre? You might find romance and a new book interest at the same time!
